New Monkey Found in Burma

New Snub-Nosed MonkeyReuters reports that a new type of snub-nosed monkey has been found in a remote forested region of northern Burma – an area which is under threat from logging and a Chinese dam project.

It is estimated there are between 260 and 330 of the monkeys living in an area of about 270 square kilometres (100 square miles) and the species is believed to be critically endangered.
