The Bishkek Declaration on the Conservation of the Snow Leopard

I am late posting this item but, on 23rd October 2013 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, President Almazbek Atambayev of Kyrgyzstan and officials representing the 12 countries in which snow leopards range endorsed an ambitious new global initiative to protect and conserve the snow leopard and its critical ecosystems.

The Bishkek Declaration on Snow Leopard Conservation ends with the statement:

By the adoption of this, the Bishkek Declaration, the Snow Leopard Range Countries pledge to ensure that snow leopards and the people who live among them thrive in healthy ecosystems that contribute to the prosperity and well-being of our countries and the planet.
