Action Alert: Save Lolita

Lolita is a captive orca, having been stolen from her family and held in captivity for the past 42 years at Miami’s Seaquarium. Her story is very sad and captured superbly in the video below.  Please visit the Save Lolita web site to see how you can help her.  Thank you.

Action Alert: Ross Sea Region Marine Reserve

The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society has launched a petition to try to help ensure the UK supports the creation of the Ross Sea Region Marine Reserve.

The great Ross Sea region is home to tens of thousands of minke whales, three different types of orca, sperm whales, southern bottlenose whales, rare Arnoux’s beaked whales, and hourglass dolphins.

Please show your support for the creation of a sanctuary and sign the petition.  Thank you.

Action Alert: Please Help Free Morgan the Orca

WDCS has launched a campaign to try to ensure Morgan, a young female orca found and stranded in shallow waters off the coast of the Netherlands, is returned to the wild.  Please watch the video below then send an e-mail to show your support for the release of Morgan.  Thank you.
